Colophon

How this site is built.

The same standard the jobs are held to, applied to the sheet they sit on. Facts, with dates where a number can go stale.

Stack
Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript. Static pages, revalidated hourly. Vercel.
Type
IBM Plex Sans and Plex Mono, self-hosted, subset to the characters on the site: five files, 76 kB on a page. A metric-matched fallback holds the space, so nothing shifts when they land.
Color
Four surfaces, three inks, one flag. Hairlines at 0.5 px. The dark theme is the same tokens with other values. Every pair clears AA; two inks were changed when a run said otherwise.
Motion
Three reasons to move: state changed, something entered or left, a value moved. Transform and opacity only. One page loads a motion runtime, the GalaxyCo.ai ticket, on demand; everything else is CSS and an IntersectionObserver.
Weight
The board ships about 18 kB of its own JavaScript, gzipped, on top of the framework's 118. Stylesheet 11 kB. The playable demos load with their ticket, not before.
Media
Every clip is filmed with Playwright at 2400 × 1800 and cut with ffmpeg; posters are WebP; the frame is always 4:3. A clip plays once when its chapter arrives and replays on hover. Stills open larger in a native dialog.
Live data
The ship counts read Vercel's deployments API each hour: every production deploy since Sep 1 across the team's projects, this site excluded. A short or failed read shows the last snapshot, labeled. Ships is the whole log.
The contract
On every push, Lighthouse runs three times on six pages: performance 95+, accessibility 100, best practices 95+, SEO 90+, layout shift 0, blocking time under 150 ms. Then a crawl: every internal link must answer. A push that misses is marked red. Production on Oct 17: 100, 100, 100, shift 0, LCP 0.6 s.
For agents
llms.txt, llms-full.txt and board.json. Every ticket has a markdown twin: append .md to its URL, or send Accept: text/markdown. Structured data on the board and every ticket. The ships have a feed: ships.xml.
Tokens
The whole token layer, cut from the stylesheet at build time: stake.css. Four surfaces, three inks, one flag, the type scale, the spacing, the durations and easings.
Keyboard
⌘K opens every place on the site. Left and right move between tickets. Esc closes whatever is open.
Print
A print stylesheet folds the rail, spells out the links and keeps every frame whole.
Headers
nosniff, strict referrer, a permissions policy that asks for nothing, frames same-origin only.
